Quick Answer
For frozen onion rings — standard frozen onion rings (breaded, 0.75–1 oz / 21–28 g each) — start with 400°F (205°C) for an estimated 8–11 minutes. Flip or turn at about 5 minutes. Use the preparation steps below and the full table for other sizes or starting conditions.

Arrange frozen onion rings in a single layer — overlapping will make them soggy. Air fry at 400°F (205°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping halfway through. Thicker rings (beer-battered style) may need 10–12 minutes.
Use one loose layer when possible. A very light oil spray can help pale coatings brown, but skip it for already-oiled rings that feel greasy straight from the bag.
If cooking multiple servings, work in batches and return all rings to the basket for 1 minute at 400°F right before serving. That quick final blast refreshes the coating without overcooking the onion.
Serve with ketchup, ranch dressing, honey mustard, or Thousand Island dressing. For burgers, cook the rings first and re-crisp them while the patties rest.
