Place frozen waffles in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 360°F (180°C) for 4–6 minutes, flipping at the 2–3 minute mark. They are done when deeply golden on both sides with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior.
Standard frozen waffles take 4–5 minutes. Thick Belgian-style waffles take 5–6 minutes. Mini waffles take 3–4 minutes. All benefit from the flip halfway through for even browning.
Use the air fryer for oversized waffles, broken waffles, or multiple waffles that do not fit cleanly in a toaster. Keep them in one layer so the edges dry instead of steaming.
Serve with maple syrup, butter, fresh fruit, or whipped cream. For a savory plate, keep toppings separate until the waffle is out so moisture does not soften the surface.
