Full-size oven and range air-fry modes behave differently from compact basket air fryers. Use this when a recipe was written for a standard oven or a basket air fryer, but you are cooking on a range air-fry setting.
Range air-fry setting
375°F / 190°C for 17–18 min
Preheat the oven/range air-fry mode fully; the larger cavity needs more recovery time than a basket air fryer.
Use this for oven-style air-fry modes, not compact basket air fryers. Check early the first time you use a new range.
From a conventional oven recipe, reduce temperature by about 25°F and check 10-15% early. From a basket air fryer recipe, keep the temperature close and add about 20-30% time because the oven cavity is larger.
