Air fry canned biscuit dough donuts at 350°F (175°C) for 5–6 minutes per side. Yeast-risen homemade donuts cook at 350°F for 4–5 minutes per side. Coat immediately in cinnamon sugar or glaze while still warm.
Pop open a can of refrigerated biscuit dough. Use a small round cutter or bottle cap to punch out the center of each biscuit. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes on one side, flip, and cook another 4–5 minutes until puffed and golden. Do not exceed 360°F or the outside browns before the inside cooks through.
After the second rise, lightly spray the air fryer basket and the donuts with cooking spray. Cook at 350°F for 4–5 minutes, flip gently with a spatula, then cook another 3–4 minutes. The donuts are ready when they reach an internal temperature of 190°F and are deep golden on both sides. Let them cool 2 minutes before glazing so the glaze doesn't run off completely.
For cinnamon sugar: melt 2 tablespoons of butter, brush on the hot donuts, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. For a classic glaze: whisk 1 cup powdered sugar with 2–3 tablespoons milk and a drop of vanilla. Dip the warm donuts and let set on a rack for 5 minutes. Glazed donuts are best eaten within 2 hours.
Use the dough cutouts from the centers. Air fry donut holes at 350°F for 3–4 minutes, shaking halfway. They cook faster than full donuts — watch them closely after 3 minutes. Toss immediately in powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for the classic finish.
