Air fry turkey meatballs at 375°F for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Turkey meatballs need slightly more attention to moisture than beef since turkey is leaner.
Turkey is leaner than beef, so adding moisture to the mix is important. Soak a piece of bread (1 slice, crusts removed) in 2 tablespoons of milk and add to the mixture. Finely grated onion, olive oil, and a beaten egg also contribute to a juicier result.
Combine ground turkey with soaked bread, egg, grated parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Mix with your hands until just combined — overmixing creates dense meatballs. Roll into 1.5-inch balls. Refrigerate 15 minutes to firm up before cooking.
Place meatballs in the basket with a little space between each one. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through. Verify internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) in the center of several meatballs.
Serve with marinara and pasta, in a meatball sub, over mashed potatoes, or in a grain bowl. Turkey meatballs freeze well after cooking — freeze in a single layer, then transfer to bags. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 6–8 minutes from frozen.
