Air fry eggs at 250°F (120°C) for 15–17 minutes for fully hard-boiled, or 12–13 minutes for jammy yolks. Transfer immediately to an ice bath for 5 minutes. The shell peels off easily.
Place eggs directly in the air fryer basket at 250°F (120°C). For runny yolks: 10–11 minutes. For jammy (slightly soft center) yolks: 12–13 minutes. For fully hard-boiled: 15–17 minutes. Timing is for large eggs at room temperature. Cold eggs from the refrigerator add 1–2 minutes. Transfer immediately to an ice water bath after cooking.
The ice bath is mandatory, not optional. Immediately plunging the hot eggs into ice water stops the cooking and causes the egg whites to pull away from the shell, making peeling dramatically easier. Leave in the ice bath for at least 5 minutes. Peel under cold running water for the easiest experience.
The air fryer circulates hot air evenly around each egg, essentially baking them. This method eliminates the need for a pot of boiling water and produces very easy-to-peel eggs because the heat comes from all sides simultaneously. No green ring forms on the yolk as long as you do not overcook.
Air-fried hard-boiled eggs are ideal for deviled eggs, egg salad, sliced on toast, or as a protein-packed snack. They peel so cleanly that they look better than many stovetop-boiled eggs. Store unpeeled in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
